Why Hire a Birth Doula?

  • Fear of the unknown can feel overwhelming. I will provide evidence-based resources to help you prepare for prenatal visits with your OB/Midwife, develop your birth plan, and advocate for your desired birth. Learn comfort measures, relaxation techniques, how to troubleshoot labor patterns, create space in the body, and strategies to protect physiology during labor.

  • Pregnancy and childbirth can stir up a whirlwind of emotions, questions, and uncertainty. As a birth doula, I create a safe, supportive space for processing those feelings and making empowered, informed choices. My calming presence offers steady encouragement, reassurance, and non-judgmental support every step of the way—from pregnancy through birth.

  • Birth doulas are trained in comfort measures for labor. In your sessions, I will teach you and your support person how to prepare for birth through body alignment, ligament releases, and techniques to create space in the pelvis. You’ll learn movements and exercises to ease pregnancy discomforts and support labor—plus you will receive visual guides for use at home or in the hospital.
